The eCopy Visual Workflow Editor provides an alternative way for configuring various connector workflows in a more comfortable and effective way as compared to the legacy method. Using a drag-and-drop capable visual interface with button-like controls, users can easily compile virtually any kind of connector workflows by simply placing the required workflow elements into the editor lane.
The visual editing capability allows you to access each and every configurable option that was previously only available via the property grid based editing.
The workflow elements are arranged into three categories:
Observe the following steps to configure a basic visual workflow:
Note:
For service and extender features, a drop-down menu with the configured profiles appears if you hover over the selected control and you need to start dragging these drop-down menu profiles.
Important!
The configuration process is made easy by the visual representation of compatible or incompatible workflow elements. When you start to drag-and-drop a workflow element in place, the editor lane immediately displays green arrows for compatible and red X for incompatible elements. You can only build a properly functioning connector workflow, since the editor does not let you create corrupt one.
Note:
If you click the wrench icon on the Connector workflow element, the legacy connector configuration window appears.
Note:
Discard an element you think is not relevant to your current workflow. Do this by dragging the element to the recycle bin in the bottom right corner of the editor window. If the selected element is not available for discarding, a warning message appears to inform you of this.
